Private sale finance lets you buy equipment directly from another operator or business, with finance arranged through a broker rather than the seller. TMF coordinates inspection, valuation, title and lien checks, and lender documentation so the sale completes cleanly. Private sales are standard TMF work and lend themselves to competitive structures when the asset checks out.

Can I finance equipment bought directly from another operator?+
Yes. Private-sale finance is core TMF work. We coordinate inspection, valuation, PPSR title check, and lender documentation. The lender pays the seller direct on settlement.
How is a private sale different from dealer finance?+
Dealer finance is arranged through the dealer’s preferred lender at point of sale. Private sale is between you and another operator/business, with TMF arranging finance separately. Private sale typically costs 10–25% less than the same machine on a dealer floor.
What does TMF check before approving a private sale?+
PPSR lien check (no prior security interests), title verification, mechanical inspection report, valuation, GST status of the seller, and import documentation if relevant.
Are rates higher on private sale finance?+
Marginally — typically a private-sale loading of 0.25–1 percentage point. The headline savings on machine price usually offset this many times over.
