Cross River Rail Brisbane
Underground rail line connecting Brisbane northside and southside. Late-stage station fit-out and precinct works.

Cross River Rail is a new underground rail line connecting Brisbane's northside and southside networks, significantly increasing CBD capacity and connecting the growing southern suburban corridor (Gold Coast, Logan, Beenleigh lines) into the city centre via four new underground stations. It's the first new inner-Brisbane rail line in a generation.
Scope comprises 10.2km of track, 5.9km of twin tunnels under the Brisbane River and CBD, four new underground stations (Boggo Road, Woolloongabba, Albert Street, Roma Street), eight upgraded surface stations on adjacent lines, new European Train Control System signalling, and Gold Coast line integration works. The project has been coordinated alongside the 2032 Olympic Games venue planning, particularly at Woolloongabba (Olympic stadium) and Albert Street (central CBD).
Tunnelling and station box civil works are substantially complete. Systems integration, fit-out of stations, rolling stock commissioning and signalling testing are in progress. Opening of services is targeted to align with the ramp-up toward the 2032 Olympics.
Equipment demand in the commissioning window is fit-out, precinct public realm, landscaping, electrical finishing, and specialty plant for station integration. Sub-tier operators with finishing-stage plant can align into remaining packages.
Fit-out and precinct packages suit specialty plant operators — shorter-cycle financeable work.
